English Classes
Mitchell Baer, our volunteer English Teacher, teaches English grammar, writing and speaking skills with a great understanding of multiculturalism. Mitchell encourages the students to introduce their backgrounds to other group members. Mitchell studies French and completely understands the difficulties and frustrations caused by not being able to speak a foreign language.
The Beginner class meets every Monday from 2-3pm and the Advance class meets on Mondays from 3-4.30pm.
Mitch has just recently gone away for awhile and Leslie Macedo will be the interium tutor.

Life Experience Counts
SSCA-MNC and Sydney Community College runs this seven day course to assist people wanting to acknowledge their current life skills and to learn new skills and ways of expressing themselves.
This program helps individuals to explore their life experience and to identify skills which would help them to find employment or participate in further education.
This course encourages participants to built up their confidence and develop a stronger self esteem.
Course content includes learning basic computer skills and how to create a Résume using Microsoft Word, to learn basic job searching skills using the Internet and then email their Résume’s to prospective employers.
We’d like to thank the Local Community Services Association who fund this project.
