We are very happy to assist people who would like to undertake their work experience with us.

Volunteers are always welcome. The time commitment asked from volunteers is around two hours in any one of the week days.

Student Placement

We welcome Social Work and Welfare students from TAFE and all Universities in the Sydney and Metropolitan areas.

Many students have completed their work experience with us in the past and have run many successful projects where research and development has been completed for the benefit of the Multicultural community.

Volunteers

You Can Help Us at SSCA-Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre

Volunteers are important contributors to the activities of the SSCA-MNC. Their duties range from helping people learn English with little or no English language skills to sitting on our board of directors.

People volunteer for many reasons and we respect whatever positive motivation you may have. A number of volunteers get great satisfaction at being able to help those in the community who require assistance of some kind, and others enjoy making new contacts and finding something to do with their spare time.

We have a number of different projects working with different people, available for you to assist us with. Assistance with teaching individuals English, to help us at Information Stalls, distributing Flyers and Brochures and Administration work depending on whatever projects are currently being run, so please feel free to express your interest.

We always welcome volunteers who would like to help us in the Neighbourhood Centre. We are seeking volunteers with Event Management, Project Management, Fundraising, Information Distribution, General office duties, experience to join us.

If you would like to volunteer, please come in or contact us and we will see how can we match your interest with the aims of our Neighbourhood Centre.
